Journalist Luke Edwards believes that Jesse Marsch could soon get a nasty shock over his future as Leeds United boss, especially if results don’t turn around.

Many may well have expected Marsch to be relieved of his duties on Sunday night or Monday morning given his Leeds side have now lost four games in a row, are winless since the end of August and now find themselves inside the bottom three.

However, Marsch still finds himself in a job and Edwards has revealed that the Leeds board have offered Marsch reassurances over his position in the dugout as things stand, but it’s no secret results will have to get better.

Edwards has spoken on The Football Daily podcast about how March could soon come in for a shock from the Leeds board if performances don’t change.

(38:30) “Jesse Marsch could be coming in for a nasty shock for sure with six defeats in their last eight and no wins since August, I want to like him though I really, really do.

Do you want Marsch to be sacked?

“I keep saying that Leeds have played better than the results suggested, but the bottom line is it will always come down to results in the end and when the fans turn, you’re in real trouble.”

TIF Thoughts on Marsch’s future…

Given that the Leeds fans who travelled to Leicester City last midweek were chanting about former manager Marcelo Bielsa would suggest that a large section of the fanbase have now lost faith in the American.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

It appears that Leeds are very willing and desperate for things to work out with Marsch as they did in the end replace a fan favourite with someone who had no experience of managing in the Premier League, but the longer they delay his sacking, the more difficult it makes the situation for the next manager.
