Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra impressed once again for his country after netting two more goals in Colombia’s latest game.

Journalist James Marshment took to Twitter after the match to share his thoughts on the Leeds star’s goals as footage was shared online.

The 23-year-old kicked off the international break in style with a goal in last week’s convincing 4-1 victory over Guatemala in which he played 45 minutes.

And despite playing just a further 45 minutes on Wednesday morning, the Leeds winger was able to score two crucial goals in Colombia’s 3-2 victory over Mexico.

Having come on at half-time against Mexico, it took Sinisterra just seven minutes to score his brace, which left Marshment amazed.

We have a gem on our hands,” the journalist tweeted, accompanied by flame emojis.

TIF Thoughts on Marshment’s comments…

Scoring three goals in the space of 90 minutes is certainly an impressive achievement that Leeds fans will be hoping to see Sinisterra replicate in the Premier League.

Do you think Sinisterra will be better than Raphinha?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In fairness, the Colombian has shown signs of hitting similar form in the top flight, with two goals and an assist in his opening five appearances (via Transfermarkt).

It is also worth noting that he has only racked up 180 minutes of action in that time, which is certainly a big sign of his potential.

What is perhaps equally as impressive is Sinisterra’s average of just under 3.5 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes in the league (via FBref).

Having seen the hugely influential Raphinha depart over the summer, Sinisterra is already showing positive signs of being able to replace the Brazilian’s impressive return last season, and we can see just why Marshment is so excited.
