Tottenham Hotspur still have an eye on Adama Traore this summer – and Alasdair Gold would not be surprised to see Spurs move for him in the coming days.

The reliable journalist has been speaking on his YouTube channel ahead of the north Londoners’ latest Premier League clash at the weekend.

Spurs now look set to offload one of their wingers before next week’s transfer deadline, with Bryan Gil expected to depart for Valencia.

And Gold believes Fabio Paratici could therefore turn to the Wolves ace, with his future at Molineux up in the air with one year remaining on his deal.

Fabio Paratici made a move for the winger earlier in the year, but Traore returned to his homeland.

With the Spaniard returning to England and struggling to get into Bruno Lage’s XI, Gold wouldn’t be shocked if Spurs were to move for him again.

He said: “I think sometimes people are bewitched by him and Fabio Paratici is bewitched by him, my goodness.

“He [Paratici] loves him. He absolutely loves him. He wanted to sign him for Juventus when he was at Wolves for a big fee, I was told.

“I would be stunned if that’s not an option they look at if Gil goes out the door.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

With just one year left on his deal, this probably does become a more attractive deal for the Lilywhites, with his fee likely to be much lower than the £20m they were previously quoted in January.

Would you want Traore at Spurs this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

There is no hiding the Spaniard’s poor offensive output over the years at Wolves, and this was even the case at Barcelona for the majority of his loan spell.

However, he is a player Spurs have clearly wanted in the recent past, and given he could be available for such a cheap price, it is a deal which could make sense.

His role in Antonio Conte’s squad may be a limited one with the options the Italian currently has, but he’d certainly provide some explosive power from the bench if a game needs a boost, which should make for exciting viewing in north London.
