Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Manchester United have been ‘told to consider’ a move for Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic this summer.

There have been reports from Sky Sports claiming that Kalajdzic is on the radar of Manchester United this summer and that the Austrian forward is keen on a move to the Premier League side.

Kalajdzic missed large chunks of last season due to injury, but he did manage to feature 15 times in the Bundesliga where he found the back of the net six times and chipped in with two assists as he helped keep his side in the German top flight, while this season, he has continued his good form after registering three assists in his opening two Bundesliga fixtures.

With Kalajdzic being linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, Jones spoke on The Done Deal Show, suggesting that he is a player that they have been told to consider and where a potential move is at.

He said: “Man United are now being linked with him. No offer has gone into him or the club at this stage, but he is a player that’s been put to them as potentially available and one that they’ve been told to consider.”

TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments…

Manchester United have scored just one goal in the opening two fixtures of their Premier League season, so Erik ten Hag might be keen to add some attacking threat to his squad in order to score more goals, and Kalajdzic could be a good option after already providing three assists for Stuttgart this season.

There have been a lot of question marks surrounding the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, with rumours that he will be leaving the club this summer, and he is one of few recognisable strikers currently fit for Ten Hag, so the Dutchman may be keen to bring in another forward before the transfer window ends.

Kalajdzic, who has been hailed as an ‘absolute top’ player, could be a relatively quick transfer in terms of getting the deal complete for United because he has just one year remaining on his current contract with the Bundesliga side, so they might be keen to cash in on him so that he does not leave on a free next summer.
