Tottenham Hotspur are considering the possibility of making a move for the Barcelona forward Memphis Depay this summer.
This is according to ExWHUemployee who has been speaking on the latest episode of his Transfer Show podcast to discuss the latest deals in the Premier League.
It is believed the Dutch forward will be made available this summer with an exit from the Camp Nou a possibility for as little as just £17m.
Depay only joined Barca last summer, but with just one year remaining on his current deal in Catalonia, it is reported he will have the opportunity to leave already.
And it is believed a Premier League side has already made a move for the Dutchman, however, Ex believes Spurs do have him on their radar:
(10:50) “Memphis Depay, who’s at Barcelona, has been told he can leave for a bargain £17m, I believe.”
“It was reported that a lower-ranked Premier League team had made a move for him but I don’t think West Ham – on last season’s form – would be classified lower-ranked. I’m not sure who it is, but Tottenham apparently looking at making a move for him.”

We would find this a slightly surprising move from Spurs if they were to make a serious push for Depay given their current situation with Steven Bergwijn.

It is believed Spurs are on the brink of selling Bergwijn to Ajax as a result of his severe lack of game time with the north London side.
So to bring in a similar style of player would be surprising, especially when they have also just added the £60m addition of Richarlison who covers the front-three positions.
Although, it is apparent some of his Barca teammates rate him highly, with Riqui Puigi previously telling Barca TV (via Barca Universal): “Depay? He’s a very close player, I had been told very well about him and I think he’ll do very well.”
“He’s a scorer at European level, one of the best players, and I think he can give us many things. I’m very eager to play with him and win many titles with him.”
