Leeds United are now closing in on the completion of the signing of Luis Sinisterra with the winger set to undergo a medical.

This is what the transfer specialist, Ryan Taylor, has claimed when discussing the latest deals going on at Elland Road this summer on his YouTube channel.

The Whites look to be moving decisively in this summer’s window with four new faces already through the doors of Thorp Arch and a couple more believed to be on their way.

And Taylor believes Sinisterra could now be set for Yorkshire just days after being granted permission from Feyenoord to discuss the potential move with the Whites.

This is something that Fabrizio Romano has also reported, with just documents pending.

Taylor gave his opinion on the situation:

(8:00) “Intentful start to the summer transfer window with their business so far. And that’s set to continue now, with the signings of Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord £23m deal is understood to be close.

“He’s set to undergo medical at Elland Road as well. Now Feyenoord confirmed that he was absent for training on Monday morning. It’s a deal that’s moved very quickly because he was given permission to discuss personal matters.”

TIF Thoughts on Taylor’s comments…

Even though Raphinha is still yet to leave, it seems Victor Orta is wasting no time in his efforts to replace the Brazilian-shaped hole in their attack which he will likely leave behind.

Are you confident Sinisterra can be as good as Raphinha?

No

Sinnsterra had an impressive 2021/22 campaign for the Dutch side with a return of 23 goals and 14 assists across his 49 appearances in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

The 23-year-old typically operates from the left wing, unlike Raphinha, however, it does seem that Orta is focusing on making upgrades across the attacking line rather than just one big-name replacement.

It has been suggested that the Colombian has been a target for a while now at Leeds, and with this in mind, we think fans should hold some confidence in their board of finding adequate replacements for their 25-year-old Brazilian.
