Journalist Alasdair Gold has revealed that the crowd went wild for manager Antonio Conte as he waved to them during Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season friendly.
This week, Spurs are out in South Korea as they prepare for the upcoming season. Most recently, they took on Team K League for their first match of the tour.
Despite all the action on the pitch, Gold, who was in the stadium reporting on the match, noted one moment off the field that had the crowd going ‘crazy’.
Indeed, he took to Twitter to explain: “The crowd are loving it. It’s a really different but great atmosphere. They cheer when they see Conte again on the big screen. He’s looking around wondering what’s going on then spots himself up there. He waves and the whole stadium goes crazy.”

TIF Thoughts on Antonio Conte and Spurs…
Conte certainly seems to be making a bit of an impression in South Korea. Indeed, his intense training sessions recently made headlines, with some Spurs players struggling to cope with his brutal methods.
No doubt, any Spurs fans in the stadium will be desperate for Conte to win something with his current side – especially as they have not picked up a trophy since the League Cup back in 2008. Perhaps that is why they were so keen to make him feel loved.
