Journalist Tim Thornton has claimed that Jack Harrison is happy at Leeds United and expects him to stay at the club this summer.
According to The Telegraph, Leeds winger Harrison has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs this summer. Another report has suggested that the Magpies are lining up a bid for the Leeds winger.
In the 2020/21 Premier League season, Leeds impressed after finishing ninth in the Premier League, and Harrison was vital as he scored eight goals and registered eight assists in 36 games, but last season, the form of Leeds drastically dropped, and Harrison had just nine goal contributions for his side.
Despite there being interest from the likes of Newcastle United for Harrison this summer, Thornton spoke to GiveMeSport and claimed that he expects the English winger to stay at Elland Road this summer.
He said: “I would expect him to stay. There have been conversations; there’s been interest.
“I think there was a bit of interest back in the January transfer window as well, but I think Jack’s happy at Leeds. His stats are good, his goals record; his assists.”

TIF Thoughts on Thornton’s comments…
Leeds have already lost Kalvin Phillips this summer transfer window and it is looking like Raphinha is also going to leave the club, so Jesse Marsch might be keen to keep Harrison to ensure he does not lose three of his key players in the same transfer window.
Marsch has not spent any time waiting around this transfer window, as he has already made six signings for a total of around £95m, but he will surely want to keep at least some of the core players at the club so that the side does not become disjointed with new players who have never played together before, so he must be relieved if indeed Harrison is happy at Elland Road.
Jack Harrison’s importance was evident last season as he finished as the club’s sixth highest-rated player, as well as scoring the second-most amount of goals behind Raphinha with eight, averaging the third-most amount of key passes per game and the second-most dribbles per game (as per WhoScored).
