Daniel Cook has claimed that Crystal Palace summer signing Malcolm Ebiowei reminds him of a young Wilfried Zaha after seeing a video of him in a pre-season game.
Crystal Palace have made three signings this summer, and one of them was Ebiowei, the 18-year-old winger who joined the Eagles on a free transfer having previously played for Derby County under Wayne Rooney last season.
Patrick Vieira brought in Michael Olise at the start of last season when he was just 19 years old and the French manager put his trust in him after the winger went on to make 32 appearances in all competitions, where he netted four times and chipped in with nine assists.
Ebiowei has been featuring for Palace in pre-season, and Cook posted on his HLTCO Twitter account to liken the style of play that the 18-year-old has to Wilfred Zaha.
The early flashes of Malcolm Ebiowei remind me so much of a young Wilfried Zaha.
This lad is going to be so fun to watch. ?

“The early flashes of Malcolm Ebiowei remind me so much of a young Wilfried Zaha. This lad is going to be so fun to watch,” Cook said.
Do you think Palace will finish higher than 12th next season?
TIF Thoughts on Cook’s comments…
Vieira implemented a lot of young into the Palace side last season in his debut campaign as Eagles manager, with Conor Gallagher, Marc Guehi, and Tyrick Mitchell all earning England caps on the back of heavy involvement for Palace, and the French manager is clearly sticking to this method by signing Ebiowei.
After emerging into the Derby first-team last season, Vieira clearly saw something in him that he might like. And with Cook comparing him to Zaha, the Palace star might be someone who the youngster can look up to and learn off, especially after his 14 Premier League goals in 33 appearances last term.
