The Colombian suffered a thigh injury back in March 2022 and underwent surgery in April which ruled him out for the rest of the season, however, a recent Instagram post revealed the striker is back in training before the end of the season and will put hope into minds of fans that he will be ready to go when the 22/23 season starts in September.

TIF Thoughts on Morelos’ return…

Morelos has been a huge player for Rangers this season during their 20/21 invincible Scottish Premier League title win under former manager Steven Gerrard. Rangers have been significantly off the pace of bitter rivals Celtic this season but the return of Morelos could see them get back to challenging for the league once again.

Prior to the season-ending injury, Morelos managed to rack up an impressive 19 goals and eight assists across all competitions while averaging four shots, 1.7 key passes, 0.7 dribbles, and 1.5 long balls per game. (Whoscored)

Morelos still has a long way to go in his recovery but the picture suggests he is working hard and is on his way to making a bug return to the first team for next season. Rangers fans will surely be buzzing to see their star man getting back to full health and can hopefully get themselves ready for a competitive season with their rivals next season.
