Journalist Carlo Garganese has taken a swipe at Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski, saying the Sweden international can never beat his man.
Kulusevski made the move to north London from Juventus during the January transfer window, initially on loan, and impressed as he helped Spurs qualify for the Champions League. The length of the loan deal was 18 months, with Tottenham then having an option to buy, but it is reported they will already look to make the move permanent this summer.
Writing on Twitter, Garganese appeared to take aim at the forward. He wrote: “I don’t care if Kulusevski took a dribble at me (he never beats his man anyway) so you Spursy fans can all stop tweeting me.
“Stand by what I said 100%. Spurs have 2 world-class attackers who carry everyone and a genius coach. They’re nothing without them.”

This comment appeared to be in response to a previous statement he had made on Kulusevski shortly after he had moved to England. He wrote in February: “Just a reminder. Juventus sold Bentancur and Kulusevski to Tottenham for an eventual €70m. Bentancur still loses it 3 times a game to concede a dangerous transition. Kulusevski still hasn’t beaten his man for 2 years. God bless Paratici.”
Tottenham’s key players are clearly Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, while it is hard to see them reaching the top four in the Premier League this season without Antonio Conte as manager – but you need more than three key men to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition.
