Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has provided his judgement reports linking Bayern Munich with a move for Liverpool star Sadio Mane but does understand were complications may have arisen.

Sky Sports Germany reported that the Bundesliga juggernaut would target Mane in the upcoming transfer window with his contract expiring in the summer of 2023.

The Senegalese forward has been in scintillating form for his club ever since returning from winning the African Cup of Nations in February.

Should Mane get a new contract?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

An impressive 12 of the £72m-rated frontman’s 22 goal tally this season have come in the past three months and Romano has played down the suggestion of him being linked with a move away.

Speaking on the Gazzetta Dello FIVE YouTube show he said:

“I don’t have anything confirmed at the moment about Bayern negotiating with Sadio Mane. Honestly, I was checking but still nothing confirmed at the moment.”

“I think these rumours started because there was a meeting between Bayern and ROOF. The agency is working also with Sadio Mane. Last week it was a direct meeting but from what I’m told they were discussing about Laimer, the midfielder from Leipzig that is a target for Bayern, and not about Mane.”

TIF Thoughts on Mane and Liverpool…

As Romano went on to say the Reds do have a decision to make when it comes to each of the original front three in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane with all three out of contract at the end of next season.

The emergence of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota in the last year has been refreshing to see considering that the aforementioned trio will one day move on but surely the club will decide to offer Mane a renewed contract so that he can see out his career on Merseyside.

He has scored 119 goals for the club and we think he should be rewarded for his excellence. He has shown no signs of slowing down this season and if Liverpool don’t want to keep him then someone will surely make a move for him.
