Gerrard has already confirmed his first signing of the summer window by turning Philippe Coutinho’s loan move into a permanent one from next season. But when it comes to his former teammates, he may not be done there.

Pete O’Rourke has been looking at the potential move for Suarez, telling GiveMeSport: “Luis Suarez could be a great signing. Although he’s not getting any younger, a free transfer, the chance to link up with Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho again could be something that may appeal to him.

“And still on his day, he’s still a quality player, and I’m sure he would score goals if he did join Villa.”

TIF Thoughts on the potential Luis Suarez to Aston Villa transfer…

Luis Suarez will ultimately go down as one of the greatest players of all time when he hangs up his boots, already boasting 437 career goals and 240 assists in just 698 games. So Villa signing the 35-year-old would be a major coup and you would imagine he would score plenty of goals.
