Ange Postecoglou and Celtic may have been handed a huge boost ahead of their game on the weekend at Dingwall.

There has been some speculation surrounding whether their in-form striker, Giorgos Giakoumakis, will be fit enough to feature on the weekend having missed the cup clash last weekend.

However, a recent Instagram post has suggested the Greek striker could be in line to return on the weekend after he was spotted training at Lennoxtown on Thursday.

Giakoumakis could be spotted on the Instagram story shared on Thursday with the main focus on the return of Kyogo Furuhashi, which could also provide Postecoglou with a big boost on the weekend.

The Greek striker was forced to miss the derby defeat on Sunday having been withdrawn in the game prior against St. Johnstone with an injury concern (via Transfermarkt).

Without the 27-year-old, the Bhoys tasted defeat at Hampden Park with their only goal coming through their defender, Greg Taylor.

Kyogo has been making a gradual return to the action having come on as a substitute in the last two games against St. Johnstone and Rangers.

Interesting first question, how many Celtic fans were inside Ibrox?

However, having Giakoumakis back could be a huge boost for Postecoglou given the form the striker was in before being ruled out with the injury.

In the striker’s last five Premiership appearances, he had been able to find the back of the net on seven occasions – including two hat tricks.

Even in the short stint against the Saints, where he was withdrawn after just 27 minutes through injury, Giakoumakis was able to find the back of the net.
