Celtic return to league action on the weekend with a clash against Ross County as they aim to increase their lead at the top of the league.

And a change in Ange Postecoglou’s team selection may have been hinted at on the club’s Instagram account on Thursday afternoon.

Should Kyogo start vs Ross County?

The Bhoys faced defeat last weekend in the Scottish Cup against their bitter rivals, during which, forward Liel Abada limped off the pitch.

With the Israeli’s fitness ahead of the game under scrutiny, the club may have provided a hint at his potential replacement in the XI, with their Instagram Story focusing on Kyogo Furuhashi in training.

The Japanese forward is in the process of making his return from a lengthy injury that saw him miss a number of months due to the hamstring issue picked up in December (via Transfermarkt).

However, having come on in Celtic’s last two games across the league and cup, could Kyogo be set for his first start since 2021?

He made his return to action in the comprehensive victory against St Johnstone the other week, where he came on and showed some signs of early promise.

Interesting first question, how many Celtic fans were inside Ibrox?

Having emerged from the bench at the weekend against Rangers, the 27-year-old did not have the same impact, with the Bhoys eventually tasting defeat in extra time.

But with the game this weekend against a side who have proven shaky at the back this season with the second-highest number of goals conceded in the Scottish Premiership, it could be an ideal opportunity to get back into form.

Despite sitting fifth in the table, Ross County have conceded a whopping 52 goals in 33 games played – only beaten by bottom side, Dundee.

With this in mind, will this be the perfect chance for the Japanese forward to make his return to the starting XI after coming on in the past two games?
