Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards has identified a private conversation that he had with Joe Hart regarding Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.

Hart signed for Celtic from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and has been superb since he joined, keeping 16 clean sheets in the 29 league games he has played for the Hoops this term.

Postecoglou has led Celtic to be top of the table and they are firmly in the driving seat to win the title. They currently sit six points ahead of rivals Rangers in the league, with a better goal difference and just six games remaining.

With the impressive signs that Postecoglou has shown since he arrived at Celtic Park, Richards told 5 Live Sport’s The Monday Night Club that he had spoken to Hart following their recent Old Firm victory, and the English ‘keeper reiterated how impressed he has been with the Australian manager.

Richards said: “I just rang him after the game to congratulate him. I watched the full game and because we’re always working, we don’t get to see as much Scottish football as we’d like. Joe just said he’s [Postecoglou] inspirational, he’s one of the best managers he’s played under.”

TIF Thoughts on the comments made on Ange Postecoglou…

Celtic have revitalised their league form under Postecoglou after last season’s failure to secure a 10th successive Scottish Premiership title. The Hoops’ last loss in the SPFL came in September, and they look in good stead to win the league.

Postecoglou brought in lots of new talent in the summer that has seemingly had a positive impact, including Kyogo Furuhashi, who is the club’s top scorer with 16 goals in 26 games, despite being out of action since Boxing Day with an injury.

Hart has played under several world-class managers such as Roberto Mancini in his time, so it is great to see him praise the Australian by saying his current boss is one of the best he’s worked under.
