According to SBI, the Hoops are in ‘advanced talks’ to bring American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers to Scotland on a permanent basis, fending off interest from English Premier League clubs.
Celtic journalist and podcaster Ryan McGinlay reacted to the news with a simple tweet: “Fantastic news.”
It’s easy to see why the Hoops are desperate to acquire his services going forward. He has played 41 games already this season, with more still to play. Carter-Vickers has clearly been instrumental and vital to Postecoglou this season – something the Australian won’t want to have to replace in the summer.

Although the season is far from over, the fact the Hoops are already planning ahead means they’ll be in a good position already for next season as they hopefully look to be defending a league title.
