Tottenham Hotspur fell to what could be a season-defining defeat come the end of the current campaign, losing 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It was a relatively dull game, with it taking 90 minutes to see the deadlock finally broken. It was the Belgian Leandro Trossard who was the difference, he poked the ball home to be the match-winner for the Seagulls.

The result left Spurs just three points clear of Arsenal in fifth place, however, Antonio Conte’s side had played two games more than their rivals when the full-time whistle sounded.
The performance from Spurs, in general, was poor, with Dejan Kulusevski a stand out poor performer. Kuluesvksi came into the game on the back of an impressive display against Aston Villa where he grabbed a goal and assist.
However, on Saturday, he was slated by journalist Rob Guest who was watching on from the press box and he wrote having the following for football.london:
“Making a huge impact in his first 12 games for Tottenham with three goals and six assists, Dejan Kulusevski had a rather quiet start to the Brighton game going on his usual high standards. Spurs were really struggling to have an impact on proceedings and the Swede just wasn’t in the match.”

Kulusevski certainly had a day to forget for Spurs. According to Sofa Score, he was the lowest-rated player on the pitch out of both starting elevens, registering a low 6.3 rating before being replaced after 64 minutes.

The wideman only had 18 touches of the ball and didn’t do much with it. He had no shots, no crosses attempted and lost the ball seven times (via Sofa Score).
It’s a worry to see him play so poorly after such an impressive start in London. He has played 12 times in the Premier League, managing to find the back of the net on three occasions, creating six goals for his teammates.
