Tottenham Hotspur had a Saturday to forget, losing at home to Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 after putting in a surprisingly bad performance.

Spurs were unable to threaten themselves, with Leandro Trossard the matchwinner for the visitors. He popped up in the 90th minute to poke the ball home beyond Hugo Lloris to ensure that the Seagulls took the maximum three points back to the Amex.

While the result and performance will be a major worry for Antonio Conte, his misery could be compounded with the injury scare to Harry Kane.

Brighton goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, rose to catch the ball in the air and when he landed, the Spaniard fell onto Kane’s ankle which saw the Spurs man show potential signs of an injury concern.

The Englishman was able to continue and play the remainder of the game, however, with his unwanted injury record with previous ankle injuries, it will certainly be a concern.

Kane was spotted to be struggling by journalist Tom McDermott, who had the following to say on Twitter: “Thought Kane hurt his ankle earlier in the half. Moving gingerly again.”
