Mehrdad Ghodoussi clearly loves what Allan Saint-Maximin has just posted on Instagram after Newcastle United’s latest win.
Newcastle United’s co-owners Amanda Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi were once again at St James’ Park to take in the game on Friday evening and were treated to the club’s first win in three games after a tough run of away fixtures.

Ghodoussi was seen waving a black and white flag which had seemingly been left on his seat by the Wor flags group who organise all of the displays inside St James’ Park with small things such as that effort and clear love for the club having won over the majority of Magpies fans.
The co-owner also clearly has a strong relationship and bond with the current squad to ensure there is a clear line of communication from the top to the players with Ghodoussi sending some heart and fire emojis to Saint-Maximin who posted a picture of him and Bruno Guimaraes following the win against Wolves.

When the takeover first went through the main focus was on PIF, who largely backed it and own the majority of the club, and Amanda Staveley who finally got the keys to St James’ park after several failed takeover bids in the past, but Ghodoussi has become a key and recognisable figure within the Newcastle hierarchy.
Ghodoussi was left on Tyneside during the January transfer window to get some deals going while Staveley and the Newcastle squad jetted off to Saudi Arabia for some warm weather training and has also been down to support the club’s Women’s team very often, which has certainly won him a lot of plaudits from fans who are delighted to have owners who now care about the club.
