The Chronicle’s Aaron Stokes has been speaking on the Everything is Black and White podcast about the exciting future for Newcastle United under PIF.

Newcastle and their fans are certainly getting an early taste of what life could be like for many years to come under the ownership of PIF and the club being run from the main face of the takeover, Amanda Staveley.

Are you happy with how PIF are running the club?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Magpies are now only outside of the top 10 of the Premier League on goal difference with 40 points and have won six games in a row at St James’ Park – something that would have only been a dream when they were winless after the first 14 games of the season.

Stokes spoke of the exciting future that lies ahead for Newcastle, the fans and club, revealing what Staveley was up to at the final whistle following their latest victory over Crystal Palace in midweek.

He said: “Staveley, who’s been sort of the focal point, the face of the takeover, she was stood outside the dugout at full time embracing the players, patting them on the back and then obviously joined her husband and Yasir [Al-Rumayyan] on the pitch for a little kickabout afterwards.

“So, look, the morale is fantastic. Everybody at the club is pulling in the same direction, which is what they need. What the future is going to hold, it’s so exciting for the club, it’s such an exciting time to be a Newcastle United supporter.”

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

The Magpies can be proud and feel connected with their club once again as they are seeing results on the pitch, while also looking on as their owners clearly take the club, city and fans into their hearts, which was highlighted post-match as Jamie Reuben, Mehrdad Ghodoussi and chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan were videoed having a kickabout on the pitch.

Newcastle’s biggest signing of the January transfer window was possibly the biggest hint towards what life will be like under PIF, as Bruno Guimaraes already appears to be a cut above the rest, with two goals and an assist in his last two matches for the Magpies and is now seemingly undroppable as Howe starts to build a side capable of fighting at the top.
