Newcastle United cruised to an emphatic win on Saturday afternoon, putting three past a sorry Norwich City side.
It took the Magpies 35 minutes to hit the front as Joelinton opened the scoring from his more familiar role as a striker. He then doubled his tally for the afternoon just six minutes later, putting his side firmly in control before the second half.

The Brazilian boys were the stars of the show for Newcastle, as four minutes into the second period, Bruno Guimaraes made it 3-0 to complete the scoring for the day.
Understandably, the Brazilian duo grabbed plenty of headlines, with journalist Lee Ryder lauding the midfielder for the way he took his goal, saying on Twitter: “Bruno sensed danger and read Tim Krul’s pass to McClean. Pinched the ball and then dinked into like he was playing in the park with his mates over the ‘keeper.”
He was certainly on top form at Carrow Road, as only the two-goal Joelinton managed to get a higher match rating on SofaScore, with Guimaraes earning an 8.2 out of 10 for his performance.
The midfielder was instrumental for Eddie Howe’s side. He only lost the ball eight times and had a 95% passing accuracy throughout the game, conveying how reliable he was with the ball at his feet.
After the win, Newcastle now find themselves up to ninth in the table and all but safe in the Premier League. What a wonderful job Howe has done at St James’ Park to put the Magpies in such a secure position, though Guimaraes certainly deserves some of the credit.
