Can you name who scored the most league goals for Newcastle United in years gone by? Let's see if you can starting with 2020/21

Newcastle have really seen their form turn around in recent times. It took until December for them to win their first Premier League game and recently went on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league, though they have lost their last two fixtures. This has been largely down to some good investment in the January transfer window.

Dubravka and Fabian Schar have been mainstays in the Magpies side recently, with both playing big roles in their side’s good form, so having them fit for the clash against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend will be a huge boost for Eddie Howe.

With the news that the duo at the back should be fit for Newcastle this weekend, Ryder highlighted on Twitter how much of a boost this will be for the Toon boss following his latest press conference.

Ryder said: “Martin Dubravka and Fabian Schar withdrew from their respective squads, but they’ve trained and they are both in contention for that game against Spurs, so that is a major boost for Eddie Howe.”

TIF Thoughts on Newcastle United…

Newcastle face an in-form Spurs side this weekend, who have won back-to-back games in the league, so this is certainly a timely boost for Howe ahead of the clash in north London.

The Magpies are all but safe in the league after their good run of form and have shot up to 14th in the table, heading into the weekend nine points above the drop zone following their impressive unbeaten run.

However, they mustn’t take their foot off the gas, and getting injured players fit such as Dubravka and Schar will be key for Howe in ensuring Premier League safety as soon as they can.
