Liverpool’s season is shaping up nicely, with the potential for it to be a historic one as the quadruple is still within reach for Jurgen Klopp’s side. The Reds are gearing up for a potentially title-deciding showdown at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

One thing that has started to overshadow their on-pitch heroics has been the fact that Mohamed Salah is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield, with the Reds surely desperate to keep the ‘best player in the world.

Recent reports have been suggesting that Salah is close to signing a new deal and is keen to stay on Merseyside with Liverpool.

The forward dubbed as the Egyptian King took to Instagram recently to pose with yet another honour, with the background of interest.

While holding his award after being named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for February, behind Salah is a wall that has a sign saying: ‘Liverpool was made for me & I was made for Liverpool.’ Reds fans will surely be hoping this is a positive hint towards where his future lies.

The fact it is now April may also suggest the image behind him was the main inspiration behind the post.

Salah has been vital to Liverpool’s recent successes, scoring 153 goals in just 241 games, including 28 in 38 this season. That sort of quality will be practically impossible to replace, so Reds supporters around the world will be praying that a new deal can be agreed with the Egyptian sooner rather than later.
