Liverpool have enjoyed a great season so far and will be doing everything they can to finish it in style and hopefully secure a historic quadruple.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, FA Cup semi-final, one point off the top of the league and already have the Carabao Cup in the trophy cabinet.

However, one of the unsung heroes of the previous campaign appears to have his sights set on making a late impact in the run-in at Anfield.

Will Liverpool do the quadruple?

Rhys Williams was among those who had to step in to cover a depleted squad last year, as Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all missed the majority of the season, leaving the Reds with just youngsters to call upon.

Williams has been on loan at Swansea City this season, making seven appearances in all competitions, however, his loan is over and he is back on Merseyside.

Taking to Instagram before the Reds’ victory over Watford on Saturday lunchtime, the defender posted: “Back and ready for the big run-in!” alongside a picture of himself in Liverpool training.

With the options Liverpool have in defence, you’d be surprised if Williams gets a chance before the end of the season, but both Williams and Klopp know he can rely on the 21-year-old if needed.

Which flop signed with Luis Suarez?

The youngster played nine times last season in the Premier League and six times in the Champions League, proving to be an important option to Klopp. Liverpool had to do the unthinkable to qualify for the Champions League last season, with Williams playing a major part, playing the last five games in the league, winning all five.
