Liverpool’s Curtis Jones took to Instagram to offer support to Everton’s Anthony Gordon after the Toffees saw off a sorry Manchester United on Saturday.
Gordon settled the tie just 27 minutes in, scoring the only goal of the game. How important will that goal be come the end of the season for Frank Lampard’s side?

After any game, the players normally take to social media with a positive message or a defiant one depending on the result, it was no different for Gordon who wanted to celebrate after being the match winner in a huge game for his side.
He noted how big the win was on his Instagram post, with another big English name from the under 21 setup commenting on the post:
Liverpool’s midfield star Jones dropped the flame emoji on the post to congratulate his England under 21 teammate on his exploits.
While at club level, Jones has commented on a post from a rival player, but the fact they clearly get on well is a positive thing for the England setup. To have players coming from rival clubs that get on will help the togetherness in the international setup.
Jones’ attention will be quickly changing from his social media activity to football as his side take on Manchester City in what could be a title decider at the Etihad.
