Leeds United dropped two points from a winning position on Saturday, giving up their lead to Southampton at Elland Road in a competitive game that finished 1-1.

Jack Harrison was on hand to poke the ball home after 29 minutes, with the Whites taking that one goal lead into the break.

Unfortunately for Jesse Marsch’s side, they couldn’t hold onto the three points. Giving James Ward-Prowse a sniff from a dead ball situation is never sensible, with the English midfielder making Leeds pay to salvage a point for the visitors.

The Leeds supporters were still frustrated on Sunday morning, taking to Twitter to attack players, with Mateusz Klich being targeted by one supporter. Klich was having none of it, replying to him in no uncertain terms.

This isn’t the first time he’s received abuse either, as he deleted his Twitter account because of it in December.

With most players having social media professionals running the accounts for them, you rarely see players getting involved in this sort of ‘dispute’ on social media. Due to the PR perspective of social media and being a professional athlete, it’s rather unexpected to see a player stand up for themselves, especially one who previously shied away from any negativity when deleting his Twitter.
