Adam Montgomery has posted a message in support of Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele following his return to the side on Wednesday night.
The youngster has been making headlines for years having first burst onto the scene at age 13 when he made his debut for the club’s Under-20 side, but getting into the senior side has been something of a struggle for the teenager.
He has only made nine appearances in total for the club, and could have been in line for a bigger role this campaign but for an injury that he sustained during a game in pre-season.
However, he made his return to the senior side in their 2-0 win against St. Mirren, coming on as a late substitute to get some senior minutes under his belt for the first time in a long time.
He took to Instagram to celebrate his achievement and posted some pictures of himself in action, prompting a flurry of responses, with Montgomery, who is currently on loan from Celtic at Aberdeen, keeping it simple with a two-word response of ‘he’s back’ alongside a crown emoji:

It certainly will be interesting to see what sort of impact the youngster can have at the club between now and the end of the season.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Bhoys boss Ange Postecoglou said (via Football FanCast): “He’s now available, we just haven’t found the right game to give him an opportunity, but he will get an opportunity between now and the end of the year – absolutely” – words that he may well have to act upon as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Whether or not the manager makes good on them and gives Dembele a fair crack at impressing him to earn a new deal, we’ll just have to wait and see.
