Wolverhampton Wanderers have suffered a dip in form of late, losing three on the spin. Thankfully for Bruno Lage’s side, they didn’t let this spiral into a disastrous spell, bouncing back by running riot against Watford with a 4-0 win.

Daniel Podence got on the scoresheet in the fixture, helping his side to a much needed victory that keeps them in contention for European qualification next season. If they can avoid any more dips like in recent weeks you’d think they’ll have a good chance.

Will Wolves qualify for Europe?

After the match, the players started taking to social media to celebrate their win, with Podence offering an honest assessment of recent weeks, telling the fans:

He’s been a key man for Lage this season, playing 22 times in the league, but his goal scoring record isn’t the best, although it is changing. He scored his first goal of the season in the 2-1 win over Leicester City before those three losses, and then doubled his tally last time out.

Fitness issues plagued Silvio's career, but where did Wolves sign him from?

He also has two assists this season, so while his output isn’t what you might want, he’s key to Wolves given his appearances.  If he can continue scoring a few more like he has in recent weeks, then he could help his side edge closer to Europe next season.
