Presenter Max Rushden has been blown away on Twitter by the footage to have emerged of Ruben Neves’ recent strike for Wolves.

Wolves got their season back on track last night when they steamrollered relegation-threatened Watford 4-0, which has seen them stay within touching distance of a place in Europe next season and just four points off a Europa League spot.

Will Wolves qualify for Europe?

Yes!

While Daniel Podence scored a long-range effort, it did come from Hornets goalkeeper Ben Foster’s mistake, which left the winger with an open goal to strike into, but it was the third goal that grabbed the headlines as Neves glided into the box before lobbing Foster, seeing his shot land in the far corner.

Rushden took to Twitter to describe the footage shared by Wolves, claiming it was ‘heavenly’ – which may not even be doing it justice.

Which former Man United man almost joined Wolves?

Many people in England have become accustomed to seeing Neves pull out the occasional strike from outside the box, however, this one may top all of the goals he’s scored during his time with Wolves given the ability needed to pull it off from such a close distance to the goal.

Neves is enjoying a very good season at Molineux, currently boasting his best record in front of goal, while his performances have helped Wolves challenge for European football once again – something they failed to do last season. Meanwhile, on a personal level, Neves is being linked with a move to one of England’s top six clubs, mainly Manchester United, so performances and goals like this will surely only have potential suitors licking their lips.
