Wolves reporter Nathan Judah has been left unimpressed by some of the claims that have emerged surrounding Adama Traore.

The 26-year-old’s future is somewhat up in the air right now.

There have been claims since at least last summer that he could be on his way out of Molineux, and he did finally leave the club, although only on loan as he moved to La Liga giants Barcelona.

The loan deal does include an option to buy, reported to be £29m, however, according to Barcelona, they might not be in a position to pay that fee come the summer as a result of their recent financial issues.

Fitness issues plagued Silvio's career, but where did Wolves sign him from?

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently stated: “We’d love Adama Traore to stay here, it’s possible – but we’re in a difficult financial situation. We’ll see at the end of the season.”

Judah took to Twitter to express his views on the matter, and summed it up by giving a few examples of what he clearly feels are exuberant amounts of money being spent by Barcelona, before hinting that he didn’t quite believe their stories when it came to not having the money to pay for the Spaniard’s services by using a GIF of Robin Hood acting like a beggar for money:

Will Wolves sell Traore this summer?

You can certainly see where Judah is coming from with his remarks, because it does seem strange for Barcelona to cry poor only to then carry on spending as if they are still in their heyday.

Perhaps it’s the case that the money they spent previously on the likes of Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Judah mentioned were the last bits of the money they had and so now they don’t have any for Traore. Maybe they are waiting until the end of the season for the prize money from their La Liga, Champions League and Europa League ventures to come through and then assess things.

Either way, it will be interesting to see if they can come up with the money at some stage, because based on his good start there, Barcelona might be the only place for Traore to revive his career after a recent slump at Molineux.
