Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are ‘unsure’ about the injury to Jarrod Bowen but he will likely miss the club’s next two games.

Earlier this March, the winger picked up an injury as his team lost to Liverpool in the Premier League and had to be helped off the field by medical staff.

Since then, he has had to sit out the Hammers’ two games next games: a 1-0 Europa League loss to Sevilla, and a 2-1 league win over Aston Villa.

While explaining the situation on The West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex explained that, despite having a scan, a lack of clarity remains over the player’s fitness. He added that he could even have a cracked bone in his foot and will almost certainly miss the next few games.

He wrote: “As it stands, I’ve had mixed news. On Bowen, it seems the club are unsure on the injury with scans not too clear on the problem. It has been speculated that he has a cracked bone in his foot.

“Whilst this is not definite he is likely to miss both the games against Sevilla and against Spurs. With the game against Everton now the most likely target.”

TIF thoughts on Jarrod Bowen and West Ham…

No doubt, the uncertainty that remains over Bowen’s injury will be great cause for concern amongst the West Ham faithful. After all, with 12 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season, he has been internal to David Moyes’ best plans.

With that in mind, if he is out for the long term, it could spell bad news for the club’s ambitions for the remainder of the season as they try to advance in Europe as well as finish as high as possible in the league.

Will West Ham make it past Sevilla without Jarrod Bowen?

While it may be a relief that he will be targeting a return against Everton, the fact that he looks set to miss the return leg against Sevilla will come as a huge blow. And missing a London derby vs Tottenham Hotspur is also far from ideal.
