Journalist Michael Bridge believes that Harry Kane will be delighted with the introduction of Dejan Kulusevski at Spurs due to his crossing ability.

Kane has turned his form around after a poor start to the campaign, as he has three goals and one assist in his last four appearances in all competitions, according to WhoScored.

Kulusevski was brought in to Spurs on loan from Juventus in January as Antonio Conte looked to add more firepower to the attack, taking the responsibility away from Kane and Son Heung-min.

Bridge told GiveMeSport that Kane will be “delighted” with the introduction of Kulusevski as he can provide the Spurs striker who more opportunities.

He said: “I think Kulusevski, in terms of distance, covered the most or second most ground against Manchester City. He is someone who doesn’t look rapid but covers a lot of the ground and Harry Kane will be absolutely delighted to see him with those perfectly glided crosses.

“They were really unlucky with one on VAR but, obviously, in stoppage time he got it nicely in the box again and Kane beat Kyle Walker in the air.

“Kane will really like someone who’s got that ability to get a good cross into the box.”

TIF Thoughts on Michael Bridge’s comments…

Kane has improved his form as of late, with an average rating of 7.21 over the past five games, as per SofaScore, which included a rating of 9.1 against Leeds United and 8.5 against Manchester City.

Spurs still have an opportunity to achieve Champions League status for next year, they are five points off fourth-placed Manchester United and have two games in hand over them. With the growing form of Kane, this could give the boost that Spurs need as Conte’s side seek to push for the top four.

With the introduction of Kulusevski to Spurs, he could form a fierce front three with Kane and Son, which could be vital for Conte in the remainder of the season.
