Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his latest YouTube video and has advised fans to keep an eye on Troy Parrott following an impressive run of form on loan.

The Irish striker is currently out on a season-long loan with League One side MK Dons and is clearly making a good impression at the club.

Do you think Parrott will be at Spurs next season?

No

No

Parrott was sent out on loan twice last season with the 20-year-old spending time away with Ipswich Town and Millwall, but was unable to have any real impact at either side (via Transfermarkt).

And even with MK Dons, Parrott has struggled for goals. The Irishman has featured 30 times in League One for Liam Manning’s side and has only been able to find the back of the net on three occasions.

However, Gold picked up on the other elements to the striker’s game, with the 20-year-old also boasting six assists to his name in the third tier.

Rounding up the performances from various loanees this past weekend, Gold said: “Troy Parrott got another 90 minutes; MK Dons beat Bolton. He’s getting quite a bit of praise – not scoring goals, but getting a lot of praise for what he’s doing off the ball as well and selfless play for others. So keep an eye on Troy Parrott as well.”

TIF Thoughts on Parrott’s development…

It was a really difficult 2020/21 season for the striker during his time away from Spurs, however, despite failing to impress in front of goal, it may have taught him a lot about men’s football.

This season has seen an improvement to his statistics and it seems he is putting on a show for the fans at MK Dons in a recent run of eight straight games where he has played every minute (via Transfermarkt).

However, there has been another impressive young striker out on loan from Spurs this season in Kion Etete, so we will be interested to see where both players find themselves in the summer once they have returned from their loans.
