Tottenham Hotspur ace Lucas Moura was spotted by Jack Pitt-Brooke storming straight down the tunnel following their defeat on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte’s men were on the receiving end of a humiliating defeat against a Burnley side battling at the bottom of the Premier League table.

The Brazilian winger came on for the Lilywhites in the final 25 minutes of the game at Turf Moor for Emerson Royal as Spurs looked for a late equaliser.

However, the north London club were unable to salvage a point from the game in Lancashire and as their hopes of a top-four finish took another blow, the frustrations were evident.

Journalist for The Athletic, Jack Pitt-Brooke, was reporting live from the game and spotted Moura walking straight down the tunnel after Graham Scott blew for full-time:

“Dier involved in some very lengthy discussions with the match officials. Lucas walked straight down the tunnel. Kane and then the rest of the Spurs team go over to applaud the away end,” he said on Twitter.

TIF Thoughts on the dropped points…

The defeat on Wednesday night felt like a huge blow for Conte’s side after what was an impressive – and perhaps unexpected – victory at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend.

It will feel like one step forward and two steps back for the Lilywhites with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal now both able to open up their gap to Conte’s men when they face off on Thursday.

Spurs face another trip north on Saturday for the weekend’s early kick-off as they face a Leeds United side who go into the game on the end of a heavy beating from Liverpool.

With their hopes of a place in next season’s Champions League, Saturday’s game feels like a defining 90 minutes for the remainder of Tottenham’s season.
