Spurs got off to the perfect start as Kurt Zouma gifted them the lead, turning into his own net after just nine minutes of play. Heung-min Son was on hand to double the lead before Said Benrahma scored to set up a tense second period.

The second half didn’t have anything to mention in terms of goals until the closing stages when Son bagged his second of the day to make the three points safe for his side.
Alasdair Gold gave Eric Dier a 7/10 in his match ratings, with the following justification: “Sporting a dark headband after his head injury at Brighton and he played well at the back, other than one moment when Antonio brushed him off easily.”
