Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur will get a ‘big’ boost with Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura looking set to return to the team.

Tonight, Antonio Conte’s men will host Everton in the Premier League as they look to continue their push for Champions League football next season.

Having lost four of their last six outings in all competitions, Spurs will want to get back to winning ways against the Toffees – and will be glad to hear that Bentancur and Moura will be available, with Antonio Conte passing both players as fit for the clash.

Indeed, while speaking to GiveMeSport, Brown claimed that the duo could make a positive impact once back in the team.

He said: “It sounds like they’re in contention, it should be quite big for Spurs.

“Moura hasn’t always been a guaranteed starter, but he has played a lot of his best football for Conte, so he’s quite an important player even if he doesn’t start.”

TIF Thoughts on Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Moura and Spurs…

Since arriving from Juventus in January, Bentancur has played five times in all competitions for Spurs, winning twice and losing three times. However, one of those wins was the memorable 3-2 victory against Manchester City, in which the midfielder played the whole 90 minutes.

Moura also played in that game, albeit from the bench, but missed the club’s last outing due to a dead leg. With 21 appearances in all competitions under Conte – with five goals and five assists – it’s fair to say the manager should have a fair amount of faith in his attacker.

Taking all that into account, it’s easy to understand why the potential return of the two players is seen as such a positive thing by Brown ahead of the game against Everton.
