Leeds United forward, Tyler Roberts, has provided a potentially huge injury update on his Instagram account on Thursday evening.

The Yorkshire side have played the majority of the 2021/22 campaign without Patrick Bamford with the striker suffering two individual injuries.

Do you think Bamford will start on Saturday?

Bamford missed a large number of games as a result of an ankle injury and having scored on his return in December, the striker injured his hamstring whilst celebrating his goal (via Transfermarkt).

Roberts took to Instagram on Thursday evening and posted an image of himself and the 28-year-old from their training session on Thursday and provided a cryptic message with the image.

With the Whites set to play their first game with their new manager in the dugout, Jesse Marsch, Roberts captioned his Instagram story post: “@Patrick_Bamford Incoming”. Which was also paired with the ‘eyes’ emoji.

The return of Bamford will be a huge boost for Marsch whenever it comes as the Yorkshire club have been pretty inconsistent in front of goal in recent weeks.

Bamford has only been able to net two goals this season as a result of his injury issues, however, he remains the club’s fifth top goalscorer this season.

Sadly, Jesse Marsch has confirmed that Bamford will miss the Leicester game but a return in the near future does now look extremely likely.

The 28-year-old has missed 20 Premier League games this season and suffered another setback just 22 minutes into his return in December so there may be some caution over throwing him back into the XI too quickly.
