Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich was all smiles on his Instagram page as he enjoys a break in the Premier League calendar.

If there is one word that you can use to describe the 31-year-old, it’s reliable. Since the start of the 2018/19 season, he has been a near ever-present member of the side at Elland Road, racking up 171 appearances in total since his move to the club in the summer of 2017.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

However, there has arguably been no tougher time for him during his stint in Yorkshire than what he is going through right now, with Leeds currently sitting 16th in the Premier League, and as of a few weeks ago, facing a real chance of being relegated down to the Championship.

Leeds, though, have given themselves a great chance of staying in the league with two wins in their last two games giving them an excellent chance of staying up, and with the international break now upon us, he has taken his opportunity to relax.

After coming off with a suspected concussion in the Friday night win over Wolves, the Pole shared a picture of himself on his Instagram Story (via @LeedsAllOver on Twitter) relaxing and enjoying a pizza at a restaurant in Harrogate alongside the message ‘recovery going well’:

Is Mateusz Klich Leeds' most important midfielder?

Recovery is certainly something that Klich, and indeed a number of the Leeds United players will be in need of.

After months of working under Marcelo Bielsa and his unique style of play, combined with the stress of being involved in a relegation battle, a chance to recharge their batteries physically and mentally will be most welcome ahead of the last few months of the season.

It appears as though they have managed to find their groove under Jesse Marsch, but they can’t take that for granted and will need to be at their best for their remaining games. You just have to hope the pizza doesn’t weigh him down too much for when he goes back to training when the international break is over.
