Leeds United secured a vital three points on Friday night at Wolves in truly dramatic fashion, coming back from 2-0 down to find a winner in stoppage time.

The first half scoring was completed by Jonny and Trincao, before a three minute turnaround in the second period. Goals just minutes apart not long after the hour mark from Jack Harrison and Rodrigo levelled the scores, before unlikely hero Luke Ayling stepped up to win the game in stoppage time.

There’s no doubt Leeds were given a lifeline with Raul Jimenez’s dismissal, but what a turnaround.

The second goal worried Jamie Carragher though, who had the following comments on Leeds: “Pathetic. Look at the Leeds players – they’re not even looking at the ball! They’re all talking between themselves. They completely switch off. Absolute shambles, it really is! That goal just sums up Leeds defensively all season. That’s why they’re in the position they are.”

It was poor from Leeds where the majority were switched off to the quick free kick that allowed Trincao to score before the half time whistle, with barely any Leeds player looking at the ball.

Thankfully for the Whites, the second half turnaround made up for their sloppy opening 45, putting a seven point cushion between themselves and the drop zone. The result was a huge boost for Jesse Marsch who now has back-to-back wins as Leeds boss.

    I agree the 2nd wolves goal was pathetic. Just have to say about the Jimeneze sending off, if that happens anywhere else on the pitch it’s probably/ almost certainly a straight red .it wasn’t dirty or intended but the fact is he was late. Feel sorry for the guy but that’s how the rules are written and usually interpreted. Remember that Harvey Barnes tackle when Steuric got his marching orders
