Leeds United made it back-to-back wins for new boss Jesse Marsch on Friday night as they recovered from the doldrums to steal three points from under the nose of a shell shocked Wolves side.

The first half was one to forget as Jonny and Trincao put the hosts 2-0 up. Then goals from Jack Harrison and Rodrigo levelled the scores before a Luke Ayling injury time winner sent the travelling Whites fans delirious.

Despite all the positives, some events overshadowed proceedings for Leeds, losing four players in one game through injury will be a nightmare. One of those was Diego Llorente, who shared an update on Instagram for supporters:

The hope is that the injury is only short term and he’ll be fit to return to the Leeds side next month. Although heartbreaking for Llorente, the timing of the international break is a fortunate one for Leeds.

They can hopefully get players like Llorente back in contention without missing too many games, if any – it’s just a huge shame for the Spaniard to miss out on a chance to represent his country.

Who was sent off in his first game as captain?

Llorente has played 21 games this season in the league for Leeds so is clearly a first team regular. With the fight to retain Premier League football next season heating up, they’ll be desperate to see him back in the white shirt of Leeds as soon as possible.
