Premier League injury expert Ben Dinnery has warned Arsenal about the possible fitness of star man Bukayo Saka.

It’s safe to say, the young winger has been in fine form this season. Indeed, one moment in his most recent outing – a 2-0 win over Leicester City – saw the Englishman compared with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

The 20-year-old has actually played in every one of the Gunners’ league games this season, and for that reason, they must be cautious.

Indeed, according to Dinnery while the player has suffered nothing serious yet, there are signs that further injuries could ‘evolve’ after some recent issues.

Talking on the Premier FPL Injuries YouTube show, he said (17:40): “We’ve seen Saka who has been dogged by fatigue-related issues in recent games. A touch of cramp, works very hard, this whole Arsenal team is working and pushing themselves very hard.

“So, you know, knocks are part and parcel of the game. As it currently stands, and my understanding is, you know, that it’s nothing serious. It’s nothing to be too concerned about.

“However, the caveat with that is, and what I say with every player post-match, you know, you’ve got to wait 24 to 48 hours, to make sure that those players can be fully assessed. Injuries can evolve.”

TIF thoughts on Bukayo Saka and Arsenal…

All in all, Arsenal fans will be relieved to hear that their star man is still looking fit for now. However, they will perhaps be hoping to see him rested soon enough amid Dinnery’s recent warning.

Fortunately, although the Gunners play twice in the space of a week – with games against Liverpool and then Aston Villa – there will be an intentional break soon.

This will at least give Saka the chance to find some respite away from the Premier League. However, he could well be called into action for England, which could again put him at risk of injury.

Only time will tell how it all plays out.
