Sunderland winger Jack Clarke has taken to Instagram to provide the Wearside faithful with a four-word message.

Alex Neil’s side secured three big points during the week to help them on their way to securing a spot in this season’s play-offs with a 3-1 win over Fleetwood Town.

And the Tottenham Hotspur loanee found the back of the net for the first time in a Sunderland shirt on Tuesday night with an impressive strike from outside the box.

In response to the victory at the Stadium of Light, the 21-year-old posted an image of him celebrating his goal on Instagram captioned: “All to play for.”

The four-word message will hopefully provide some supporters with some encouragement as the Black Cats enter the business end of the season.

Clarke has featured in all nine League One games Sunderland have played since making the move from north London for the remainder of the season.

However, only three of those appearances have come from the starting XI, with the game on Tuesday night the first time the 21-year-old has completed a full 90 minutes for Sunderland.

It has been a tricky start to life on Wearside for Neil, having won just two of his first six League One games since replacing Lee Johnson in the dugout.

But having taken the points on Tuesday, Sunderland have a two-point gap to the chasing pack just outside of the play-off places – albeit having played an extra game over seventh-placed Wycombe Wanderers.
