Ange Postecoglou has been speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Celtic’s derby clash on Wednesday with a packed Parkhead crowd cheering on their side.

The game on Wednesday offers the Australian’s men a huge opportunity to replace their city rivals at the top of the table with a win at Celtic Park.

And the Bhoys will be out for revenge after their previous clash against Rangers in August saw the Hoops lose in a narrow 1-0 defeat at Ibrox.

Last time out, Celtic fans were denied access to the game at Ibrox after Rangers pulled the plug on the initial 700 allocation supplied to the travelling Bhoys.

Speaking ahead of the clash, which will see a sold-out Celtic Park crowd watch on, Postecoglou provided a potential dig at their rivals over the ticket debacle last time out:

“Our supporters got denied last year witnessing a derby and didn’t get to the first game this year. I reckon we will have an excited group of people behind us tomorrow [Wednesday] night,” Postecoglou told Sky Sports.

“I was pretty [animated] at the time, but these games deserve to be played in front of full houses. I’m definitely going to take it in, it’s why we do what we do.”

The game on Wednesday night will be just the third game since the latest return of fans at Parkhead following the government’s decision to allow supporters back into stadia.

And with a huge 90 minutes of action ahead of the Bhoys, it is apparent Postecoglou is hoping the Celtic fans will be behind his side with a massive three points on the line.
