Image for West Ham United: Journalist praises Pablo Fornals

Journalist Paul Brown has given his praise towards Pablo Fornals and highlighted his importance off the pitch for West Ham United.

Fornals has been a mainstay in David Moyes’s side this season after he has featured in 24 Premier League games this campaign, where he has recorded eight goal contributions, according to Transfermarkt.

West Ham have improved dramatically over the past two seasons, after they finished in sixth place in the 2020/21 Premier League season, just two points off fourth, and currently sit in fifth following their draw with Newcastle United at the weekend.

Brown told GiveMeSport that ‘everyone likes’ Fornals around the place at West Ham.

He said: “Fornals seems to be very important around the place generally. He’s a really good character apparently, keeps people smiling, everyone likes him.”

Fornals’ season has arguably been his best so far in a Hammers shirt as he has already equalled last campaign’s goal tally, and there are still 12 games to go.

TIF Thoughts on Paul Brown’s comments about Pablo Fornals…

Within the new crop of players at West Ham, there seems to be a sense of togetherness off the pitch, and there have been viral videos to show this connection that they have off the field in the past.

This cohesion off the field has evidently had a positive effect on the pitch as the results over the past two seasons have seen a massive upturn and the Hammers are set for their best-ever Premier League finish.

Plenty of players come from abroad and struggle to fit in well with the rest of the team, and that makes it harder to gel on the pitch.

But with Fornals’ reported likeable personality and good character, this will help him form connections off the pitch and which consequently will have a positive impact on the performances for the club.
