Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has admitted that Liverpool are a different class to Leeds after the Whites lost 6-0 at Anfield last night.

Last night, the Reds were ruthless in victory after they put six past a poor Leeds United side. Mohamed Salah was on particularly good form after he scored twice and set up another.

Leeds have struggled this campaign due to injury woes to star players such as Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford.

Forshaw spoke in a post-match interview on the Whites’ official YouTube channel, saying that his side shouldn’t “feel sorry for themselves” despite receiving their heaviest defeat of the season.

Asked for his feelings on the game, he said: “Two different teams in class.

“We’ve got an important game on Saturday so we’ve got to move on quickly as well at the same time.

“It’s difficult anyway, coming to a place like this, but when we’re missing big players, we have missed big players throughout the whole season.

“Tonight feels like the end of the world but obviously, we are still in an OK position, and like I said, we can’t feel sorry for ourselves.

“It’s hard not to let it affect you, I won’t lie.”

TIF Thoughts on Adam Forshaw’s comments…

Although Forshaw has said that his side can’t feel sorry for themselves, it will be a difficult task to lift the morale after getting brutally beaten the way they did.

Liverpool have picked up serious form as of late, they haven’t lost in 12 games in all competitions, drawing twice and conceding just six times in these games, according to SofaScore. So, it is important that Leeds don’t read too much into the scoreline and turn their focus to Saturday’s match against Spurs.

It is getting tight at the bottom of the Premier League table, and things don’t look good for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. They sit just three points above Burnley who sit in 18th and have two games in hand over the Whites.
