Harry Kane is fitter than he ever has been under Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Alasdair Gold.
The Spurs correspondent was speaking on his latest YouTube video following the north London club’s victory at the weekend to turn around their recent poor form.

And the three points on Saturday against Manchester City can be largely put down to the heroics of Kane, as he shone in front of the crowd at the Etihad Stadium.
With Gold impressed by the 28-year-old’s display against City, he touched on Kane’s comments on being as fit as he ever has been in his career.
This may come as a shock to some given the intense training sessions Mauricio Pochettino reportedly put the Spurs players through during his time at the club.
He said: “I think we’ve started to see in recent weeks him kind of coming back to life, back into the kind of form and sharpness we know he can be.
“And don’t forget, Conte has got him fitter than he’s ever been. He said this himself, and Poch pushed him hard, but Kane said the other day that he’s fitter than he’s ever been under Conte.”

Kane’s claim of being at the best level of fitness of his career is certainly being shown in his recent form under Conte, with six Premier League goals in his last nine appearances (via Transfermarkt).
His league form under Conte is certainly a contrast to what was shown under Nuno Espirito Santo, with the England captain only scoring once under the Portuguese boss in the league.
And the team’s overall fitness seems to have received a boost under the Italian, with their distance covered per game much higher than what it was in the early stages of the season under Espirito Santo.
