Harry Kane was limping heavily after the conclusion of Tottenham Hotspur’s huge win on the weekend, according to reporter Alasdair Gold

The Lilywhites landed three big points on Saturday to turn around their recent dreadful form as they stunned the Premier League leaders at the Etihad Stadium.

Do you expect Kane to stay for next season?

And the Spurs striker put on a show in front of Pep Guardiola with a man-of-the-match performance which saw him score twice including the winner deep into stoppage time.

The England captain has a history of picking up serious injuries around this time of the season having missed game time in February due to injury for the past three consecutive seasons (via Transfermarkt).

Spurs travel to Turf Moor on Wednesday night in their next Premier League clash and Gold revealed the following touchline claim:

“The only slight [worrying] moment was we watched him doing his post-match interviews down on the pitch like I said Conte has to do – he was limping pretty heavily, was Kane.

“I think, from what it looked like, he took a real whack kind of at the base of his back towards the end and he was kind of hobbling around the pitch a little bit towards the end of the game. It needed quite a bit of treatment as well.

“It looks like it’s one of those that’s an impact injury – you’d hope. And that just, you know, Spurs will patch him up, get him out at Turf Moor on Wednesday night and probably be a bit sore for a few days, a bit stiff and achy.

“But I think it looked like an impact injury and yeah, he certainly didn’t seem to be complaining too much about it.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane’s potential injury…

The striker had a difficult start to the campaign, however, since the appointment of Antonio Conte he has shown a huge improvement in the Premier League.

And the game on Saturday night epitomised his return to form with a 10/10 display which saw Kane showing City what they missed out on over the summer.

Three points on the weekend has reignited Tottenham’s hopes for a spot in the top four, however, after Burnley’s impressive win on Saturday, Conte will be hoping Kane’s issue is not serious enough to keep him out for the trip to Lancashire.
