Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about the feeling inside Manchester United’s dressing room on the Que Golazo YouTube channel.

In recent weeks, Manchester United have been struggling both on and off the pitch, with just one win in their last four matches across all competitions prior to their victory on Sunday, while a lot of leaks have emerged in the media from sources in and around the club’s dressing room.

Would Conte have been better for Man United?

No

Prior to their crunch clash against Leeds United last weekend, the Daily Mirror reported that Harry Maguire felt undermined by Cristiano Ronaldo, with players thinking it was inevitable that the latter would take over as captain of the club, just days before the England international netted at Elland Road, whereas the Portuguese ace failed to get on the scoresheet.

However, Romano believes that there are no such problems in the United dressing room.

“I was asking my sources close to Man United and close to the Man United dressing room, and the answer was not negative. Of course, it’s not a positive moment, so they’re not happy with the situation, but they are together to fight for Man United.

“They had a good win with Leeds so I don’t see the Man United dressing room having big problems.”

TIF Thoughts on Man United’s off-field issues…

It’s not just problems amongst the players that have been making headlines, with a report from ESPN claiming some players were not impressed by Ralf Rangnick or his coaching staff, with some likening the German’s assistant coach to Ted Lasso from the American TV series about an American football coach coming to England.

This may not come as too much of a surprise given that the Man United dressing room doesn’t know who will be their manager come the end of the season and have several high-profile players such as Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo and David de Gea, so it must be extremely difficult to get them all onside and pulling in the same direction for Rangnick.
