Leeds United fell to a worrying 3-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Everton on Saturday afternoon as goals from Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane and Anthony Gordon put Marcelo Bielsa’s side to the sword.

Although the result is worrying enough, leaving Leeds just six points clear of the drop zone, further injury worries will be keeping Bielsa up at night.

Has Dan James been a success at Leeds?

Stuart Dallas was forced off after just nine minutes which is the last thing Leeds fans will have wanted to have seen so early into a match.

Marcelo Bielsa’s nightmare?

It seems to have just been one of those seasons for Leeds, with injuries to key players racking up and the injury to Dallas in the game with Everton summing that up.

He has only missed 28 games since the start of the 2014/15 season with injury, showing just how reliable he is. However, his injury is a sign of the times at Leeds, with everything that could go wrong seeming to…

Phil Hay even claimed Dallas was ‘indestructible’ and his injury was just summing up how things were going for Leeds. Looking at his injury record, it’s hard to argue.

To kick things off what season is this from?

Chance for Leo Hjelde?

The 18-year-old was introduced after nine minutes to replace the injured Dallas, playing in only his second Premier League game of the season – he is yet to make a start.

He has been on the bench nine times too this season, highlighting how stretched the Leeds squad is, but also how he is one of the more talented youngsters trusted with the step up.

Hjelde won all of his ground duels in the game, not being beaten in any of the four he contested. He also had 73 touches too in the game, showing he wasn’t scared to get involved in play and wasn’t shying away from the ball.

That means this could well be his chance to prove his worth to Bielsa and push his way into the side to be a first team regular at Elland Road.
